On March 5th, our grade 1 and 2 students in the Eco-Gardening club had a Super Seeds Workshop with staff from Fresh Roots. Students read a big book about different types of seeds and seed germination. They then dissected a soaked white bean seed to see its hidden mysteries! They were excited to discover the seed coat, baby leaves (embryo) and cotyledon. Thank you to Fresh Roots Urban Farm Society for coming in and to Ms. Xu for organizing the presentation!
