In grade one, Miss. Simpson’s class has been learning about different countries around the world. Each student picked a country to teach the class about the national symbols, sports, animals, weather and more. Students compared their country to Canada by identifying the similarities and differences. Over the past two weeks students have learned about Australia, England, Japan, Russia, Madagascar, Palau, Singapore, India, Mexico, Argentina and Fiji. Students viewed pictures, artifacts and tried international dishes.

In Art Classes, students cut out paper and attach tape, fabrics and paper in order to create their own designs on student models.

Students have been sketching fashion design, using pencil on paper, and working towards learning and understanding the qualities of drawing from life, figure proportions, and fashion styles.
